Steve Nash Eye: Canadian Smash Mouth Basketballer

Steve Nash Eye: Canadian Smash Mouth Basketballer

Sports injuries are generally sport specific. Concussions most often occur during football games, hurt arms during baseball and twisted ankles are basically specific to basketball. But, black eyes, that can happen anywhere. A Steve Nash eye injury should have been at least a game ender for him.

However, Nash is known for getting physical and with the Suns knee deep in the playoffs against the San Antonio Spurs, rest assured, Tim Duncan’s elbow to Nash’s face only sent Nash to the locker room temporarily. He returned to the bench with an ice pack on his eye which appeared to be where he would finish the night. However, the Steve Nash eye injury wasn’t enough to keep him on the bench. He returned to the game with his right eye swollen shut and still finished with twenty points and nine assists.

The Steve Nash eye injury wasn’t enough for the Spurs to grab even a game. The Suns swept the spurs and now head to the Western Conference Finals. Nash finished the game with one good eye and the other swollen together. He finished the night with a whopping six stitches in his eye lid and in reality, that’ just how Canadian players go about playing smash mouth sports even when it isn’t hockey.
