Broncos Trade WR Brandon Marshall to Dolphins

In NFL news today the Denver Broncos have traded wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins. The details of the trade report that the Dolphins will be giving up a second round draft pick in April’s upcoming draft and another second round pick in the 2011 draft. Marshall has had run ins with the law and with the Broncos head coach during his time with the team. His on field performance has been stellar with three consecutive seasons with 100 catches and 1000 yards.

The Broncos who traded WR Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins today selected him 119th in the fourth round in the 2006 NFL draft. He played for the University of Central Florida and in 2005 was named the Hawaii Bowl MVP. Marshall has been nicknamed the “beast” for his ability to break through and avoid tackles. In his four seasons with the Broncos he was named to the Pro Bowl two times.

Marshall has been in legal controversy dating back to his college years. In 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2009 he had trouble with the law. With the Broncos trade of WR Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins they will know longer have to worry about his off field problems. We will have to wait until the NFL season begins in September to see how the Dolphins and Brandon Marshall make out.
