The Amare Stoudemire dunk during the Phoenix Suns against the Golden State Wizards is perhaps one of the most amazing dunks of the year. He was able to get up over Anthony Tolliver to help lift the Suns to a victory. This led to a seven point run for Stoudemire that led to the team winning with a score of 133-131. He had 37 points for game. The dunk will surely be rated one of the top, explosive dunks of the entire year in the NBA.

Amare Stoudemire has been hot over the past 10 games with averaging 30.2 points, and grabbing 10.2 rebounds. He is also had six double-doubles and had 44 points during the game with Utah and another 41 point night while playing against San Antonio. Currently, the Suns are in fifth place and are hoping to obtain a spot for the Western Conference playoffs. With the win last night, they are only one game back from Utah. Jason Richardson had a season-high 34 points in helping the Suns reach their fifth win in a row.

In addition to the Amare Stoudemire dunk, Josh Smith had a dunk at the buzzer for the Atlanta Hawks to give them the win over the Orlando Magic and earning the Hawks a playoff berth. They beat the Magic by a score of 86-84. The Celtics also earned a playoff spot, while beating the Nuggets and the Lakers have won their seventh straight in a row with their win over the Spurs. Cleveland has also won their eighth straight game with the help of Lebron James’ 38 points in their game with New Orleans. The race to the NBA playoffs has begun with the Amare Stoudemire Dunk.

With a day off on Wednesday in MLB we look to get back on a hot streak as we are still up big on the season. Thursday we have a total of nine pitchers with ERA's under 3.00 over their last three starts combined and a total of five pitchers with ERA's over 6.00 over their last three combined starts. There was one match up that stuck out and we marked them down as our POD. Mark the Brewers Down! ( -140 2.5* FREE PLAY ) For whatever reason Shaun Marcum has loved to pitch on the road as he has an ERA of 3.20 over the last three years on the road. That's much better than his home record and he's back at it again with a 2.77 ERA this year. He's been great of late posting a 1.80 ERA, but the Brewers lost 2 of 3. He should be motivated to keep that up so he can get a W and the Astros are the team to do it against. He's got a 1.80 ERA over 3 starts vs. the Astros who carry just a .637 OPS in 73 AB vs. Marcum. A few weeks ago I'd be on the Astros, but they are starting to come back to earth as they are now 24th with a .686 OPS vs. RHP while the Brewers are 8th with a .737 OPS vs. LHP. The Brewers are 8th and they face J.A. Happ who they have dominated. Happ and the Astros are 10-30 in their last 40 with Happ on the mound. He's really not the player they thought he'd be when they traded Roy Oswalt for him. Happ has a 5.40 ERA at home right now and the Brewers have a 1.139 OPS over 80 AB in their careers vs. Happ who carries a 6.08 ERA over the last three years vs. the Brewers. Brewers are 18-7 in their last 25 after Wednesday's loss to the Astros and are 47-17 in their last 64 vs. a losing team. Mark down the Brewers as a victory for Thursday. Notable Hot Starters: R.A.
