College Football Picks: 2014 SEC Football Predictions

SEC College Football Picks

The SEC is stacked as always as we head into the 2014 college football season. And the conference as a whole is hungry. That’s because their six-year championship streak has come to an end. The conference wants to bring that championship trophy back down south, they want to win the inaugural college football playoff, and oh yea, they likely want to send two schools to that 4-team playoff as well. What can we expect to see in the SEC this season? Here’s a look and a roundup of the 2014 SEC betting odds, predictions and previews. SEC Preseason Football Rankings There are a total of 8 SEC schools in the preseason AP rankings, a crazy total. That includes number 2 Alabama, number 6 Auburn, number 9 South Carolina, numbers 12 and 13, Georgia and LSU respectively, Ole Miss at number...

Missouri Football Predictions

Missouri College Football Picks

Missouri is coming off an excellent season. However, they lost a great deal of talent after the year to the draft, and now find themselves in somewhat of an underrated position yet again. Will the Tigers be able to replicate the success they had last year, even with a cast of fresh faces? Here’s a look at what to expect from Mizzou in 2014. Missouri Football 2013 Season in Review Missouri finished with a great 12-2 record last season, ranked as the number 9 team in the nation. They won their first seven games, including a road win over then number 7 Georgia. They lost to South Carolina, but then were able to defeat Ole Miss and Texas A&M in back to back weeks, earning them the SEC East title. They then met number 3 Auburn in the SEC title game, and lost that crazy 59-42 scoring fest....

Auburn College Football Predictions

Auburn College Football Predictions

The Auburn Tigers are coming off a fantastic season. It was filled with memorable moments, big wins, an SEC Championship, and a trip to the national championship game. So how will Auburn follow that up here in 2014, in the always tough SEC? Here’s a look at what to expect. Auburn Football Last Season in Review Auburn was not particularly highly rated at the beginning of the year. In fact, they didn’t even crack the top 25 until the middle of October. From there, they took out number 7 Texas A&M and Johnny Manziel on the road, defeated Georgia, and of course, upset Alabama with that epic final play, returning a missed field goal for a touchdown. That stamped their ticket to the SEC title game, where they defeated Missouri in a wild offensive game. They came up just short in...

LSU Tigers College Football Predictions

College Football Picks

Finishing the year 10-3, and with a final ranking of #14 in the country, the LSU Tigers had a season that most schools would be jealous of. Yet, for head coach Les Miles and LSU it’s been six years since they’ve won a national championship, and fans, alumni and everyone else are itchy to get back onto the title stage. What can you expect to see from LSU this season? LSU Tigers Last Season in Review As mentioned, LSU won 10 games on the season. Their only three losses all came within the SEC, and they all came on the road, including at Alabama, and at Georgia by just 3 points while Aaron Murray was still healthy. The one they wish they had back was a 3 point loss at Ole Miss. The best win came at home against Texas A&M, and LSU closed the season with a win over Iowa in the Outback...

Georgia Bulldogs Football Predictions

College Football Picks

Last season ended in disappointment for the Georgia Bulldogs football predictions. With star quarterback Aaron Murray’s injury capping off a year where they already underperformed, the Bulldogs would finish the season unranked. As seems to be a frequent refrain, coach Mark Richt is likely coaching for his job at Georgia this season. So what will the Bulldogs look like in 2014? Last Season in Review Georgia entered the season as the number 5 team in the country, but with a brutal first two games, at number 8 Clemson and at home against number 6 South Carolina a week later. They split those games, and defeated number 7 LSU, but then disappointingly lost back to back games to Missouri and Vanderbilt in October. They later lost on the road to number 7 Auburn, and then lost their bowl game...
